While everyone is getting creative in producing virtual programs and events, artists are facing special kinds of roadblocks in moving their work online. Especially when it comes to generating unique online content that can pay the bills. This Wednesday, hear from several local artists who are confronting this issue head-on. We welcome Deanna Dionne and Ash O’Connor, the creators of Made Cleveland, Marcia Custer, performance artist and Connectivity Director at Maelstrom Collaborative Arts, and Ben Oblivion, media artist and creator of Conundrum Co-Op. Let’s talk and dig into some of your questions and ours together: What’s the best way to distribute art online? How do you earn revenue? What’s already out there? How do you cut through the noise?
We’re hosting virtual meet-ups at 12 p.m., noon every Wednesday during this crisis to learn from one another and connect. Drop in and listen, talk, turn your video off or keep it on, it’s up to you. The only rule is to keep the convo supportive. The rest is up to the group.
