Our Programs

Past Programs

If you are interested in developing, running or participating in a program that supports arts and culture professionals, we may be able to help. Throughout our history, Arts Cleveland has served Northeast Ohio's arts and culture sector based on what it needed that no one else could offer. Of course with every program, there is a life cycle. These programs ran successfully for a number of years and continue to serve as models for supporting the creative economy.

Welcome to Collinwood

Artists in Residence

Greater Cleveland is positioning itself as a laboratory for rethinking how slow-growth cities can prosper. Initiatives like Reimagining Cleveland, Pop Up Cleveland and the Cuyahoga County Land Reutilization Corporation are advancing new ideas in community development. Cleveland is reinventing itself. Enter Artists in Residence.

Collaborative Marketing Database

Arts Cleveland’s Collaborative Marketing Database was developed to bring Cleveland's arts and culture organizations together as partners instead of competitors. Members of the Collaborative used a detailed system to learn about their audiences, their buying patterns and their connection to one another.

The series addressed Building Safe Places, Empowering Youth, Bridging Divides, Activating Change and Moving Forward. In the final event, after a discussion with the Chief of Police for the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority shared his work, Playwrights Local presented an excerpt of "Objectionably Reasonable."

Creative Workforce Fellowship

Creative Workforce Fellowships were awarded in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. A total of 160 Fellowships were invested directly in artists who reside in Cuyahoga County. The program was generously funded by Cuyahoga County residents through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

In early 2001, Arts Cleveland joined forces with National Arts Strategies, to develop a tool that could be used by greater Cleveland's arts and culture organizations to evaluate their operational strengths and weaknesses.
