Arts Cleveland's research provides a foundation of understanding. The research itself validates the importance of creative industries in our economy. The information extracted from the research helps us see regional specialties and reveal local trends. It equips decision makers with much needed facts grounded in sound methodology. Most recently we released:

Critical connections to resources

Creative Compass has offered Cleveland artists a portal to opportunities and information since 2012.  Total users on the site has grown every year since. New content can be submitted by anyone for review, including calls for artists, workshops, auditions, employment opportunities, available space and more. The site overall, including the online Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute had:

  • 28,559 users
  • 280,473 pageviews
  • 856 new opportunities posted

Improved civic discourse

Every summer, the annual Public Officials Recognition Breakfast brings local, state and federal leaders from both sides of the aisle to build relationships with arts and culture as a regional strategic resource. In June:

  • 175 people attended the breakfast
  • 67 of those were public officials
  • 2 legislators, Cleveland City Councilman Kevin Conwell and Mayor of Bedford Stanley Koci were recognized for their investments of time and resources in arts and culture
