Abigail Del Río has a background in Not-for-Profit Accounting. She spent 12 years as Financial Officer at Hispanic Urban Minority Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Outreach Program, Inc. (HUMADAOP). There she managed a budget of several million dollars with funds received from the Ohio Department of Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS), Alcohol & Drug Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County (ADASBCC), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), The Cleveland Foundation and various other governmental and foundation grants. She also performed HR functions.
She left HUMADAOP to spend the next several years raising her four children as a band/soccer/volleyball mom in the Chicagoland area (Munster, Indiana). During those years, she also kept her skills sharp by volunteering at her church in the area of finances.
After 6 years in Chicagoland, she returned to the Cleveland area. She was fortunate to be given an opportunity with Arts Cleveland as Business Manager. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Cleveland State University.
When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and genealogy research.
