Arts Cleveland

Arts Cleveland—formerly know as the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC)—is a data-driven organization dedicated to advancing arts and culture in Cuyahoga County. 

  • We are an advocate, representing arts and culture at important decision-making tables to ensure that it remains one of the region’s top priorities.
  • We are an ambassador,highlighting and facilitating the intersections of the arts and other sectors, setting in motion the creative power of our region to respond to challenges and opportunities.
  • We are an ally, offering knowledge, skills, resources and connections to support creative vitality.

What We Do

(research) We monitor and report on the state and impact of arts and culture and make strategic recommendations based on those findings.

(strategy) We help people make informed decisions and allocate resources to accomplish their long-term objectives concerning arts and culture.

(connections) We maintain relationships in and outside of arts and culture, positioning ourselves to identify shared interests and objectives.

(advocacy) We follow the political environment, build relationships with elected and appointed leaders, analyze policy and promote favorable legislation toward arts and culture.

Why We Do It

Arts and culture is core to our region’s identity and a significant contributor to our lives and communities. Together with our partners, we ensure that it continues to be so for generations to come.

Areas of Focus

Our current research and planning point to four issue areas that require our attention:

  • Revenue: identifying new and sustainable sources of financial support
  • Learning: strengthening opportunities for youth development
  • Participation: expanding and deepening life-long engagement
  • Policy environment: ensuring public policy supports creative vitality

How We Are Funded

We are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization. For 21 years we have relied primarily on the generous support of individual, corporate, government and foundation donors to carry out our mission. We also generate earned income through programming and consulting activities.
